Trash Picking in Purgatory
by Tony Mecca and the Heavy Mental Gypsys
The new album by Tony Mecca & The Heavy,
Mental Gypsys comes at you like a shadow
you only notice when it is already standing beside you.
These songs don’t shine – they smolder.
They breathe the raw atmosphere of alleyways,
the electric hum of midnight, and a
truth that only becomes audible when
the world is too tired to lie anymore.
Each song seems unearthed from another
corner of purgatory.
